Artist Colbert Mashile made two new editioned linocut prints that draw upon his deep connection to rural life in South Africa. Utilizing black and white qualities of linoleum printing, Mashile imagery tells dramatic stories of the human condition currently facing South Africa. These prints, including one with hand color additions in watercolor, were auctioned off for charity as part of Boston Universities World Aids Day Event. Mashile was a visiting artist during his time preparing for a solo exhibition at Sherman Gallery, titled Colbert Mashile: Not Yet
